Bravo Greater Des Moines has awarded a record $3.6 million to 78 Central Iowa organizations through its Local Arts Program and Cultural Enrichment Grants programs. The number of recipients is a record, too, and 21 received grants for the first time. “This year’s record-breaking grants and the number of organizations demonstrates the vibrancy of the cultural community in Central Iowa,” said Bravo Executive Director Sally Dix. “As demand for programming increases, so does the need for the essential funds Bravo provides, and we are grateful for the investments from our local government partners so we can support the fantastic work being done by our grantees.
