Brent Blum, who has led name, image and likeness efforts for Iowa State Athletics since 2022, announced he is stepping down as executive director of the We Will Collective after three years, Cyclone Fanatic reports. The We Will Collective was established in 2022 as a separate nonprofit arm that partner ISU student athletes with NIL opportunities at local nonprofits. During his tenure, Blum helped raise over $18 million to support Cyclone student-athletes, with key contributions from his wife, Krystal. Earlier this year, the We Will Collective was integrated under the Learfield Branch of Iowa State Athletics in alignment with new NCAA revenue-sharing policies. Blum said in a statement shared on social media it was “the right moment to hand things off” as he pursues a new opportunity in Iowa.
