Name: Stephen Henry

New position: Chief operations officer of Multi-Tech Industries Inc., an Indianola-based holding company of five businesses that manufacture, sell and operate volumetric mobile concrete mixers.

Vitals: Prior to his appointment as COO, Henry served as president of Iowa State Bank, where he worked for 17 years. Before that, Henry led the correspondent banking division at First National Bank in Farmington, N.M., for 11 years. Henry has a bachelor of fine arts from Drake University and earned his diploma through the Robert O. Anderson Graduate School of Management within the Western States School of Banking at the University of New Mexico. He also attained a diploma of completion from the Graduate School of Compliance Management at the University of Oklahoma.

Job one: Henry’s first goal is to assess the current operating position of Multi-Tech and all of its subsidiaries, which include Cemen Tech Inc., International Mobile Mixers Inc., Ready2Mix Inc., ABC Concrete and Elkin Hi-Tech. Henry said he plans to look closely at ways in which the company can cut costs and run more efficiently, while continuing to increase the profitability of every company under the Multi-Tech umbrella.
