What’s one issue you’re very passionate about?

I am very passionate about helping others become involved and engaged in public service. There are many different areas of public service and it is often not the first thought for people. Helping to share and tell the public service story is essential to growing and strengthening participation in it, which has a fundamental impact on our quality of life.

What’s one of your everyday habits that helps you be successful?

Exercise. I work out every morning; you could say it is my cup of coffee. This helps me process the day before and prepare for the day ahead, as well as remaining mentally and physically strong.

Knowing what you know now, what’s one thing you’d tell your younger self as you start your career?

Form a personal board of directors who will be brutally honest with you, hold you accountable and be your greatest champions.
