Chinese city shifts vehicles to ethanol
The city of Tianjin, China, will use ethanol blends in most vehicles by the end of September, Reuters reported. China is pushing for the use of biofuels nationwide. The city of Tianjin’s website reported the new plans for local vehicles. The Chinese government last year said 10 percent ethanol blends should be available across the country by 2020. Iowa is a top producer of corn used to produce ethanol and of biofuels.
