City of Des Moines to discuss coming budgets

103 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawThe city of Des Moines will have a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Des Moines Central Library to discuss the city’s operating and capital spending budgets for the 2017 fiscal year. The proposed budget does not include a tax rate increase, according to a release. Staff members from city departments will be available to answer questions about city operations. Public comments will be sought at the meeting. More information about the proposed budget, and current and past budgets, is available here.
