Clive releases results of special census

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has added 1,676 residents since the 2020 Census. The special census was conducted in partnership with the census bureau between February and April. The Clive City Council certified the results at its April 26 meeting. “The updated count will enhance Clive’s eligibility for federal funding for services like transportation planning, road rehabilitation, public safety, and more,” Clive Mayor John Edwards said in a prepared statement.
