Comair suspends service to Salt Lake
Low passenger loads and escalating fuel prices have caused Comair to temporarily suspend its service between Des Moines and Salt Lake City, Des Moines International Airport officials announced today.
The suspension will start on Jan. 7. SkyWest Airlines has been providing the service for Comair.
Comair will reconsider the service in March and April and may reinstate it in the summer.
Comair is a Delta Connection carrier and wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines Inc. It is based in Cincinnati and operates 756 flights a day to 96 cities throughout the United States, Canada and the Bahamas.
