Community Foundation charitable funds increased in 2015
Another $50 million in charitable donations were made to the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines last year, resulting in 184 new charitable funds and $398 million in funds under administration. Collectively, more than $26 million in grants were made and another $450,000 supported initiatives, including Anawim Housing’s Legacy Project, the Mental Health Starts with Me Capital Campaign through the Broadlawns Medical Center Foundation, and United Way’s Central Iowa’s Bridges to Success program
