The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines announced that longtime finance executive Kris Pete-Swanson has been promoted to chief financial officer, effective Nov. 1.  Pete-Swanson, who has worked for the organization for more than 17 years, most recently as senior vice president of finance, will oversee over $1 billion in philanthropic assets across nearly 2,700 donor funds in a 46-county affiliate network. Pete-Swanson succeeds Karla Jones, who will depart to become chief financial officer of the Arizona Community Foundation. “I am thrilled to elevate Kris to chief financial officer. She is perfectly positioned to lead our financial operations into the future, and her commitment and dedication to our organization and our fund holders will continue to serve us well,” Kristi Knous, president of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, said in a prepared statement.
