Coppock, a marketing, promotions and sales leader with more than 20 years of experience, joined Stelter in June 2021 in the newly created position of vice president of client success. She succeeds Bev Hutney, who announced her resignation from the company in February after holding the CEO role since June 2020. Coppock’s appointment comes after an extensive selection process by Stelter’s board of directors, the company said in a press release. “Marianne made a lasting impression on the board with her vision, intellect and professionalism,” said Larry Stelter, board chairman. “She has made a tremendous impact during her time at Stelter to date, and we have no doubt she will continue this momentum as our new CEO.” In business since 1962, Stelter provides marketing services for 1,300 nonprofits across the country, with a staff of more than 90. In addition to her agency experience, Coppock is well versed in event planning, fundraising and employee engagement, having helped lead the marketing team that opened Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines in 2004. She is a graduate of Drake University and the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, and was honored by the Business Record as a Forty Under 40 in 2006.
