DART adds route along East University to Pleasant Hill
Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will launch a route Nov. 21 that will provide all-day service along East University Avenue to Pleasant Hill. The new route, Route 10, will be free to ride through Dec. 31. Broadlawns Medical Center and DART worked together to add Route 10, which will service the new Broadlawns clinic on East University, set to open Nov. 28. Route 10 will serve Pleasant Hill and the new Broadlawns clinic from 6:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. The route will run approximately every 30 minutes in the morning and afternoons. Midday service will be hourly. The new route will serve a park and ride on Little Fourmile Creek Drive in Pleasant Hill’s Cooper Creek area. The Pleasant Hill trips served by Local Route 1-Fairgrounds will be removed from the schedule and incorporated into Route 10. The frequency on Route 1 will be reduced from 15-minute service to 30-minute service during the morning and afternoon commutes. Read more about the new Broadlawns clinic.
