DART to restore service on routes that were reduced because of staff shortages
The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority will restore service on routes that were temporarily reduced last month as the agency adjusted its service to match its available workforce. The moves were needed as DART dealt with a shortage of drivers as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Beginning Monday, Feb. 28, DART will restore service on those routes, which include Local Route 52, and Express Routes 92, 93, 95, 96, 98, and 99. Schedules showing which trips are being added back to each route are available on the DART website.
