Deere donates to Ankeny’s Miracle League field
John Deere Des Moines Works has donated $240,000 toward building a Miracle League field and all-inclusive playground in Ankeny.
The city is trying to raise $1 million total for the project.
The Miracle League field will have a rubberized surface that enables children with disabilities or special needs to participate in games. With the contribution from Deere, the total money raised thus far is $560,000. For more information on the project, visit www.ankenymiracleleague.com.
