Delafield named Des Moines assistant city manager
Phil Delafield, who went to work as a building inspector 31 years ago for the city of Des Moines and served the last eight years as community development director, has been named assistant city manager. “Phil has done extraordinary work as our community development director and will add invaluable expertise to our city manager’s office as we implement several new initiatives,” City Manager Scott Sanders said in a statement.
