Polk County property tax delinquencies dropped in the year that ended May 31, Treasurer Mary Maloney said in a news release. The number of parcels with unpaid taxes dropped 23 percent to 3,553 and the dollar amount due dropped 32 percent to $6.6 million. The annual sale of delinquent taxes is 7:30 a.m. June 18 at Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center at Veterans Memorial. To avoid the sale, delinquent taxes must be paid by 5 p.m. June 15.
