Delta Dental of Iowa Foundation provided grants totaling more than $90,000 to 17 nonprofit organizations in Iowa in the first half of 2018. These grants were part of the foundation’s mini-grant program, which reviews grant requests twice each year. The grants are intended to help educate Iowans on oral health matters and provide preventive services. Recipients of a mini-grant in the first half of 2018 included Children & Families of Iowa, which received $15,000 to provide oral health prevention and education to underprivileged children, and Special Olympics Iowa, which received $10,000 to fund a screening program for the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes program.
