Des Moines council, boards to resume in-person meetings in the summer

85 wordsAll Latest News, Government Policy and LawThe Des Moines City Council will return to in-person meetings beginning June 14, city officials announced today. On-site public meetings were halted on March 15, 2020, because of the outbreak of COVID-19. In addition, city staff will begin meeting with the public by appointment only on May 3. The city’s administration buildings will reopen to the public on June 1. The city’s boards and commissions will resume meeting in person on July 1. Masks and social distancing will continue to be required at city facilities.
