Bankrate.com website list ranks Des Moines, Iowa as fifth best U.S. city for retirement.

Bankrate.com released an analysis today on best U.S. cities for retirement in which Des Moines ranks as fifth-best.

Bankrate.com, an independent website that compares financial services and interest rates, ranked America’s cities in terms of walkability, the cost of living, crime rate, health care quality, tax rates and weather. The ranking also incorporated a specialized wellness score for seniors from the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index. Read more
