Des Moines will host the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as part of the 2027 Iowa Air Show: Fields of Thunder, marking the return of a large-scale air show to Central Iowa for the first time since 1991. Scheduled for May 8–9, 2027, at the Iowa Air National Guard base at Des Moines International Airport, the event will feature the Navy’s premier flight demonstration team headlining both days, with additional aviation programming to be announced.
