Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences has promoted Pravin Mishra to chief research officer, advancing his leadership of the university’s expanding research portfolio. Since joining DMU in 2023, Mishra has launched several initiatives, including the Innovation Tank to support new health care ideas, the Young Scientist Program for high school STEM engagement and the Applied Analytics and Innovation Center integrating data science and health care innovation. A biomedical scientist and former chief operating officer of the Oklahoma State University Research Foundation Prairie One, Mishra holds six patents and has received multiple national awards, including the National Cancer Institute Director’s Innovation Award.
