The Des Moines Area Association of Realtors announced a $50,000 donation to the Food Bank of Iowa to support ongoing efforts to address growing food insecurity across the state. With demand for food assistance at record levels, the contribution will help distribute thousands of meals and strengthen outreach services in Central Iowa, a news release said. “REALTORS are deeply connected to the neighborhoods where we live and work,” Eric Webster, president of DMAAR, said in a statement. “Strong communities start with meeting basic needs. When families are fed and supported, neighborhoods thrive, and that stability strengthens our schools, our workforce, and our real estate markets. We’re honored to support the Food Bank of Iowa in the vital work they do every day.”
