Des Moines Area Community College, in collaboration with the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families Community Advisory Committee, will hold a community conversation on March 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the DMACC Urban Campus in Des Moines. The event is part of DMACC’s process to select a new organization to assume operational leadership of the Evelyn K. Davis Center, which has provided education, workforce training and financial empowerment services since 2012. Two finalist organizations from DMACC’s request for proposals will each present a 20‑minute overview of their vision for the center’s future, followed by public input. The finalist organizations will be announced ahead of the event, with updates available at www.dmacc.edu/ekdc.
