Dupaco Credit Union partners with FHLB Des Moines on affordable housing initiative

95 wordsAll Latest News, Banking and Finance, HousingDupaco Credit Union is partnering with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to offer the Mortgage Rate Relief program, a housing initiative aimed at lowering borrowing costs for income-qualified homebuyers. The program permanently reduces mortgage interest rates by up to 1.5% below market levels, currently offering rates as low as 4.967% APR. Since the program’s launch in 2024, Dupaco has been selected to participate. It has applied more than $9.3 million in grant funds to members’ home loans and has been awarded an additional $6 million in 2026 to assist more borrowers.
