Eagle Life Insurance Co., a subsidiary of American Equity Investment Life Insurance Co. in West Des Moines, has hired Bryan Albert as head of sales. Albert, who began the new role on Feb. 9, will manage all aspects of Eagle Life’s annuity sales teams while ensuring alignment between sales strategies and marketing. Working remotely from South Carolina, he will report directly to Eagle Life’s president, Graham Day, who said Albert’s leadership, talent development and business acquisition experience will immediately benefit the company’s sales teams. “Bryan brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and record of success across multiple channels of distribution,” Day said. “He has consistently delivered a client-centric approach on how to best engage financial advisers.” Albert joins Eagle Life with nearly 25 years in the financial services industry, most recently as a divisional sales manager with Prudential Financial in South Carolina. Eagle Life is a provider of fixed and fixed index annuities marketed through broker-dealers and banks.
