Event Feb. 20: 19th Hole for charity at Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival
The Principal Charity Classic, an annual PGA Champions Tour event in Des Moines that has raised more than $7.7 million for Iowa children’s charities over the past nine years, is sponsoring the “19th Hole” on Saturday, Feb. 20, during the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival at the Iowa Events Center in downtown Des Moines. Attendees who stop by the 19th Hole and “chip in for charity” will get to take home an exclusive Mark Calcavecchia bobblehead. Calcavecchia famously won last year’s tournament while wearing bacon-print pants, which the new bobblehead is sporting as well.
