The project transformed 18 of the building’s 25 floors into 209 apartment homes, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.
Amenities in the building include a rooftop pool, a fitness center and wellness amenities, plus a coffee shop and pet-friendly accommodations.
The grand opening will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday in the lobby of the Financial Center followed by tours of the building. Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, the ceremony will feature a symbolic lighting activation, representing the return of residents, activity and investment to the historic tower, a news release said.
“The lights are back on, and life is returning to the Financial Center,” said Mark Buleziuk, managing partner of Lawmark Capital, which owns the Financial Center. “This project represents years of planning, investment, and belief in the future of downtown Des Moines. We are proud to bring new energy, new residents, and new opportunities to one of the city’s most recognizable buildings.”
