BCC Advisers has acquired 54-year-old Iowa Appraisal and Research Corp., one of the largest residential and commercial appraisal and real estate consulting firms in the state. Iowa Appraisal President Fred Lock will continue in that position with the company. BCC Advisers is a financial and management advisory firm that specializes in merger and acquisition consulting, corporate finance, business valuation, and litigation support services. BCC Advisers President Steve Jacobs said both businesses will retain their names and employees, with Iowa Appraisal’s staff moving at some point to BCC Advisers offices at 1707 High St. in Des Moines.
