First Interstate Bank restructures Iowa, Missouri leadership team

First Interstate Bank has announced a new leadership structure across Iowa and Missouri. With the changes, the bank aims to accelerate response times and tailor services to different markets. The leadership changes affecting Central Iowa include Jim Miller and John Jennett serving as state presidents of Iowa and Missouri, Steven Frederick serving as commercial market president and Kandra Powell serving as community banking market leader – Central Iowa. “When bankers are supported, clients feel understood, and communities move forward in a sustainable way,” Chris Shepler, First Interstate Bank’s chief banking officer, said in a prepared statement. In 2022, First Interstate Bank’s parent company First Interstate BancSystem Inc. completed a merger with Great Western Bancorp Inc., the parent company of Great Western Bank.
