Flynn Wright announces executive leadership transitions

Flynn Wright, a full-service advertising and public relations agency based in Des Moines, announced today changes to its executive leadership team. The changes are meant to maintain consistency with ongoing client service and continued agency growth, the company said in its announcement.
Effective today, the transitions include:
Paul Schlueter, promoted to CEO: Schlueter will oversee the day-to-day business operations, and continue to focus on client strategy and the agency’s research function. He has 29 years of experience at Flynn Wright.
Sarah DeKock, promoted to president: Bringing 21 years of experience at the agency, DeKock will oversee all client services and continue to work on client strategy.
Kyle Prendergast, promoted to chief operating officer: Prendergast will oversee agency operations and financial management, with a continued focus on strategic partnerships and service innovations to support agency growth.
Bridget Proctor, promoted to chief creative officer: With 20 years at Flynn Wright, Proctor oversees all agency creative functions, including the Locust Motion video studio.
Jeff White, promoted to executive vice president and partner: White leads Flynn Wright’s business development efforts and will continue to focus on client strategy and the agency’s expanding public relations department. White has been with Flynn Wright for nine years.
Aaron Kennedy, transition to chairman: Kennedy has been with the agency for 33 years, the longest of any current employee. As chairman, he will continue to have a key role in client and creative strategy, outreach and business development.
Kiersten Maertens, promoted to partner: Maertens, who has 19 years of experience with Flynn Wright, was promoted to partner in July 2025. She continues to provide day-to-day client strategy and oversee the paid media agency function.
Since 2022, Flynn Wright has opened two new offices outside of its Des Moines headquarters in Sioux Falls, S.D., and Portland, Ore.
