Foreclosure, delinquency rates dropped in Greater Des Moines
Foreclosure rates in Greater Des Moines decreased in January from the same time last year, according to research firm CoreLogic Inc. The rate of foreclosures among outstanding mortgage loans was 2.57 percent in January compared with 2.83 percent in January 2011. The national foreclosure rate was 3.43 percent in January. The mortgage delinquency rate also dropped in January to 4.78 percent from 4.93 percent in January 2011.
