Foreclosures increased in May
Lenders picked up the pace of foreclosures in May in Greater Des Moines compared with a year ago, real estate analytics firm CoreLogic Inc. said today. The rate of foreclosures among outstanding loans increased 0.04 percentage points to 2.57 percent, CoreLogic said, and the mortgage delinquency rate in the area increased to 4.55 percent from 4.52 percent in May 2011. The national foreclosure rate was 3.41 percent in May.
