Former Davenport fire chief in running for Ames job
Ames Tribune: Two finalists are in the running to take over as the next fire chief of the Ames Fire Department, the city announced last week, including Lynn Washburn-Livingston, former Davenport fire chief. Washburn-Livingston served as Davenport’s fire chief from 2011 to 2017. From 1981 to 2011, she worked for the fire department in Rockford, Ill., as a firefighter/paramedic, lieutenant and captain before retiring as district chief. Washburn-Livingston also worked as an adjunct instructor in fire science management at Rockford Valley Community College, in Rockford, from 2001 to 2011.
