Jerry Kluver, who became known as an Earl May Nursery and Garden Center spokesman through his appearances on WHO-TV, is now in charge of the lawn and garden center at the Hy-Vee grocery store at 8601 Douglas Ave. in Urbandale.

“I kind of recruited him a little bit,” said Hy-Vee store manager Brett Bremser. “He had already turned in his notice and was thinking about trying something different.”
