Gerhart to chair NAIC’s life and annuities committee
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has named its 2016 committee chairs and vice chairs and assigned members to the organization’s standing committees. Nick Gerhart, Iowa insurance commissioner, was named chair of the NAIC’s Life Insurance and Annuities Committee; the committee’s vice chair will be Bruce Ramge, director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance. The association’s leadership met this week to make committee assignments based on each member’s preferences and experience, as well as requirements established by the NAIC’s bylaws.
