The grant will support education and resources on water quality-related issues for stakeholders in Polk County and communities upstream that impact Central Iowa’s watersheds. According to a press release, the funding will expedite current water quality initiatives, including municipal training, expanding “batch and build” water projects and a resource data hub. “This isn’t just an investment in our region, it’s an investment in our state — and future generations,” Hannah Inman, CEO of the Great Outdoors Foundation, said in a prepared statement.
