HealthPartners UnityPoint Health, a joint venture health insurance company launched in 2015, today announced two key leadership appointments. Cheryl Harding, former Iowa market president of AmeriHealth Caritas, joined Health Partners UnityPoint Health in February as president. Before leading Medicaid managed health care plan AmeriHealth Caritas of Iowa for three years, Harding was chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Delta Dental of Iowa. She will work at the West Des Moines office and report to the HealthPartners UnityPoint Health board. HealthPartners also hired Becky Woody as vice president of health solutions, sales and account service in Iowa and Illinois. Woody has nearly 30 years of experience in sales, account services and operations, with previous leadership positions at Marsh, Wellmark and TriZetto Corp. Most recently, she was director of network development at TAVHealth, where she consulted with Iowa health care providers and public sector entities, focusing on managing social determinants of health.
