Dec. 15 is the last day for individuals to enroll in or change insurance plans through the federal health insurance Marketplace for coverage to start Jan. 1. The Polk County Health Department, Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, Broadlawns Medical Center, Primary Health Care, Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa and Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines will host a health insurance enrollment and renewal fair on Monday, Dec. 12, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Connection Center, 5921 S.E.14th St., Suite 2300, in Des Moines to help individuals and families through the health insurance process.
