The Polk County Health Department and several Greater Des Moines health care organizations will host a health insurance enrollment and renewal fair on Wednesday in Johnston. The fair, aimed at assisting individuals and families who don’t have group health coverage through their employers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Goodwill Career Connection Center, 5355 N.W. 86th St. One-on-one enrollment assistance will be available from licensed navigators and certified application counselors. Spanish interpreters will also be available. The open enrollment period for coverage beginning Jan. 1, 2017, began on Nov. 1 and ends Dec. 15.
