Hotel opens at City Square development in Des Moines’ East Village

The hotel is owned and operated by Lincoln and Lisa McIlravy. It is part of a $49 million development that occupies a city block at the site of a former Jeep dealership. Hansen Real Estate Services and Hansen Co. Inc. are nearing completion of a 124-unit market-rate apartment development called City Square Lofts. The hotel offers a mix of studio up to two-bedroom, two-bathroom suites, 618 square feet of meeting space, guest laundry, fitness center, indoor pool and whirlpool, 24-hour business center, and outdoor patio area. Kristen Amfahr is the general manager and Ryan Moore is the director of sales. The overall project also includes a 317-stall parking structure.
