Hubbell plans age-restricted, affordable apartments at Melbourne

122 wordsAll Latest News, Real Estate and DevelopmentHubbell Realty Co. will begin construction in September on the final phase of Melbourne Apartments, adding two age-restricted buildings that will be a new concept for the affordable housing community, according to a release. The two buildings will have a total of 72 units and will be available to people age 55 and older. Thirty-six of the units will be one-bedrooms, and the remaining will be two-bedrooms. Each building will have elevator access. Melbourne currently has a business center, bus stop access, school bus pickup, a community room, a splash pad and playground, and a fitness center. The new addition will also add a new business-computer room. When completed in the spring of 2020, the Melbourne complex will have nine buildings.
