Julie McMillin, assistant vice president of retail dietetics at Hy-Vee Inc., has been named the 2015 Retail Dietitian of the Year by the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance. The award recognizes a professional who shows leadership in using business skills and industry knowledge to positively affect consumer behavior change through the retail sector. McMillin supports Hy-Vee’s 228 in-store dietitians, three retail dietetic supervisors and one corporate dietitian. She works with store merchandising, buying and marketing to help customers find health and wellness solutions at their local Hy-Vee stores. In addition, McMillin serves on Hy-Vee’s Innovation Committee, where she helps bring new ideas, products and trends to the company and stores.
