Des Moines Register: Hy-Vee has launched a premium membership program, Hy-Vee Plus, that offers its customers savings and benefits such as coupons, free grocery delivery and a personal shopper for $99 a year. The West Des Moines-based grocery store chain said today that its new program “is unlike any other in the industry,” though the membership is similar to Amazon Prime, a service that gives members free shipping and exclusive discounts. Discount retailer Walmart also offers a monthly or annual membership for free shipping and fuel discounts.
