Interactive map: Find out which manufacturing facilities have closed in Iowa
This week, Tri-State Envelope Corp. announced that it was shuttering its facility in Wapello. The closure on Oct. 27 will increases to 27 the number of manufacturing facilities that have closed in Iowa since January 2024, a Business Record review shows. Thirteen plants closed in 2024. So far in 2025, announcements have been made about another 14 closures. The closures have resulted in the loss of over 3,100 jobs, a review of Iowa Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification notices shows. (Two plants have reopened under new ownership.)
