A mixed-used building at Interstate Acres in Urbandale could get a significant expansion after approval at the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting Monday.

Greg Judas of KC Holdings, owner of the building at 10827 Prairie Ave., said he wanted to get the plans approved by the city before approaching the tenants about the expansion.

The plans proposes to add 35,897 square feet to the building, bringing its total size of the building to 77,962 square feet. Hank Specialties Inc and Woodcraft Architecture Millwork are the tenants in the building.

Mike Shindelar, president of Woodcraft Architecture Millwork, said the expansion is needed for his growing company.
