Iowa has completed a five-year modernization project integrating 22 legacy systems into a single platform that streamlines tax, alcohol and lottery operations for residents and businesses. The new system, GovConnectIowa, allows users to file and pay taxes, obtain licenses and permits and communicate directly with the Iowa Department of Revenue. More than 400,000 accounts have been created since the project began.
