Iowa house sales and prices were up last year

The number of sales rose 3.2 percent to 44,023 from 42,671 in 2016, while prices advanced 4.2 percent to $153,000 from $146,900. The pace of sales also picked up last year, with homes selling in an average of 76 days, compared with 80 in 2016.
