Labor force and jobs data for local areas will be released Dec. 16. The 43-day shutdown of the federal government this fall delayed the release of the data. Iowa’s labor force report relies on data collected by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and U.S. Census Bureau. The labor statistics bureau announced that it will not publish October 2025 state employment or unemployment news releases or metropolitan area employment and unemployment news releases.
