Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, in partnership with the university’s Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation, has introduced a new educational initiative offering in-person workshops to help farmers and rural landowners create written estate and succession plans. Attendees at one of the inaugural workshops receive a lifetime subscription to an online portal featuring educational videos, case studies and planning workbooks. Directed by Kristine Tidgren, the project brings together more than 15 experts to address legal, tax, and family considerations involved in farm transitions.
