Iowa Utilities Board, Iowa Power reach rate increase agreement
The Iowa Utilities Board has approved a settlement with Interstate Power and Light Co. after the company requested an increase in its customer natural gas rates in March. An agreement by IUB and Interstate parent company Alliant Energy approved an annual revenue increase of $11.8 million, compared with Alliant’s requested $21 million, and approved a monthly charge of $2.80 for customers to opt out of having an advanced metering infrastructure meter.
